But what do you do if your car makes a recall list?<\/p>\n<p>According to this  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/BL-DSB-6292\">news report<\/a> , there are steps you can take if you receive a notice from your car&#8217;s manufacture that your vehicle&#8217;s make, model and year was involved in a vehicle recall.<\/p>\n<p>The first step is to not panic. Oftentimes a vehicle recall is a safety precaution, and sometimes no reports of personal injuries or car accidents have even occurred. Oftentimes the recall is related to a small defect within the car&#8217;s structure, such as electronic glitches, fluid leaks and loosened screws, according to the news report. While the recall may immediately dangerous, you should get the recalled problem fixed as soon as you can get it into the dealer.<\/p>\n<p>You should act quickly to get the repair done once you find out your vehicle is on a recall list. Contact your dealer to make an appointment to get your vehicle fixed, even if you haven&#8217;t received a recall notice from your dealer. If they don&#8217;t have the correct parts to fix the problem, at least you will be first in line to get the repair when they do.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you haven&#8217;t heard about your vehicle being part of a recall, you should keep track of recalls and safety-related investigations on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration&#8217;s site.
