Lettieri’s Foods, Inc. is recalling their breakfast sandwiches because they could contain an undeclared additive, according to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service.<\/p>\n

The Shakopee, Minn., company is recalling 101,629 pounds of “Breakfast Stackers Sausage, Egg & Cheese” sandwiches because they contain monosodium glutamate, which is not listed on the product label.<\/p>\n

The recalled breakfast sandwiches include:<\/p>\n

•3.75 lbs. cases containing 12 individual 5.5-oz. packages of “Lettieri’s Breakfast Stackers Sausage, Egg & Cheese within a flakey biscuit.”<\/p>\n

•3.75 lbs. cases containing 12 individual 5.5-oz. packages of “Real Time Café Breakfast Stacker Sausage, Egg & Cheese within a flakey pastry.”<\/p>\n

The recalled items bear the establish number “EST. 19109” within the USDA mark of inspection. “The products were produced between Aug. 2010 and Dec. 2010. Cases containing “Lettieri’s Breakfast Stackers Sausage, Egg & Cheese within a flakey biscuit” were distributed to Calif., Fla., Minn., N.C., Tenn. and Wis. Cases containing “Real Time Café Breakfast Stacker Sausage, Egg & Cheese within a flakey pastry” were distributed to Calif., Colo., Minn. and Wash,” according to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service<\/a> .<\/p>\n
