Sauteed chicken products are being recalled by the Pampanga Food Company, Inc., because it could be contaminated with the undeclared allergen, whey.<\/p>\n

Pampanga Food Company issued the Class I recall, which means it has a high health risk, because whey could be dangerous in those with food poisoning<\/a> allergies.<\/p>\n

The recalled chicken comes in 30 lbs. bags, containing 3 lbs. individual packages which have the establishment number “P-9029-A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were packaged from May 6, 2010 to December 6, 2010.<\/p>\n

According to news reports, the production date is listed as a lot number on each package ranging from “0506″ to “1203.” The FSIS discovered the problem during a routine inspection, and so far no reports of illness due to the undeclared ingredient in the chicken sold to restaurants in California and Hawaii have been reported. The FSIS will ensure the company contacts customers including restaurants to see steps are taken to remove the product completely from homes and restaurants.<\/p>\n
