Metal and wood particles were mixed into the drug, manufactured by Johnson &amp; Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>McNeil Consumer Healthcare said the foreign particles in the Rolaids were likely introduced during production at a third-party manufacture, according to a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The products affected by the recall are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rolaids Extra Strength Softchews<\/li>\n<li>Rolaids Extra Strength Plus Gas Softchews<\/li>\n<li>Rolaids Multi-Symptom Plus Anti-Gas Softchews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although McNeil said the possibility of a health hazard is low, the company is urging consumers to stop using the medicine. The company has suspended production of Rolaids and it will not begin again until corrective actions are taken.
