In a news release Thursday, Deere & Company announced, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, a voluntary recall of more than 15,000 John Deere lawn tractors due to a laceration hazard.<\/p>\n
Subject to recall are approximately 15,500 lawn tractors. The hardware used to hold the mower blade brake assemblies to the mower decks of the recalled lawn tractors can break. If this happens the mower blades can spin longer than normal after power has been turned off, posing a laceration hazard to consumers. No injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n
The model numbers of the recalled lawn tractors are D100, D110, D120, and D130. All of the affected models have a 42-inch mower deck. The model number can be found on both sides of the tractor’s hood. The serial number can be found under the right rear fender.<\/p>\n
