The candy company is recalling all flavors of its Toxic Waste&reg; brand Nuclear Sludge&reg; Chew Bars because a lot (#8288A) of the cherry flavor of the above-listed product contains elevated levels of lead. &nbsp;The candy had a 0.24 parts per million of lead, while the U.S. FDA tolerance is 0.1 ppm.<\/p>\n<p>The recalled items include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Toxic Waste&reg; Nuclear Sludge&reg; Cherry Chew Bar (UPC 0 89894 81430 6),<\/li>\n<li>Toxic Waste&reg; Nuclear Sludge&reg; Sour Apple Chew Bar (UPC 0 10684 81410 7),<\/li>\n<li>Toxic Waste&reg; Nuclear Sludge&reg; Blue Raspberry Chew Bar (UPC 0 89894 81420 7).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No other Toxic Waste&reg; brand products are affected by the recall, according to the FDA.<\/p>\n<p>As a <a title=\"North Charleston foodborne illness lawyer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sinklaw.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">North Charleston foodborne illness attorney<\/a> , I&#8217;m glad to hear no food illnesses or injuries have been reported so far in connection to this recall. &nbsp;I urge anyone with this recalled candy to throw out the product or return it to the store of purchase for a refund.
