{"id":734,"date":"2010-07-25T09:05:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-25T09:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sinklaw.com\/2010\/07\/25\/pork-products-recalled-for-allergen\/"},"modified":"2024-05-08T00:04:32","modified_gmt":"2024-05-08T04:04:32","slug":"pork-products-recalled-for-allergen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sinklaw.com\/blog\/pork-products-recalled-for-allergen\/","title":{"rendered":"Pork Products Recalled for Allergen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Consumers who have a wheat food allergy will want to avoid some pork products that are being recalled for labeling errors.<\/p>\n<p>L&amp;R Fine Fashions in Garden Grove is recalling more than 2,000 pounds of raw pork paste and ready-to-eat fried pork loaf because the packaging labels don&#8217;t list wheat among the ingredients, according to the recall announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The recalled product includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>11-ounce packages of Kim Loan Gio Song Pork Paste<\/li>\n<li>14-ounce chubs of Kim Loan Cha Chien Fried Pork Loaf produced between Jan. 22, 2010 and Dec. 6, 2010<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The problem was discovered when a U.S. Department of Agriculture investigation found both of the products contained undeclared wheat, according to news reports.<\/p>\n<p>Wheat is a known food allergen, and the pork products could be harmful for those who have the allergen and eat the food.<\/p>\n<p>Common  <a title=\"food poisoning\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sinklaw.com\/blog\/category\/food-poisoning\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">food poisoning <\/a> symptoms of wheat allergies include skin rashes like eczema and hives, asthma, tissue swelling, stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting.
