Researchers also found that three out of five  people reported that they were not sure as to how often they should make  a pit stop so that their dog could take a break from a long road trip.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the dog owners who participated in the study (66 percent) reported  that they take their dog on car trips whether it&#8217;s to run errands  or go on vacation. The vast majority of participants (85 percent) said  that they know the importance of properly restraining their dog in their  vehicle, and 67 percent reported that they know how to incorporate a seatbelt  as part of safely securing their dog.<\/p>\n<p>As a Spartanburg car accident lawyer , safety on the road is something  that I am very aware of, and I encourage motorists to learn how to keep  both their human and canine passengers safe and secure. Through my experience  as an attorney , I have witnessed the importance of taking basic motor  vehicle safety measures.
