American Eagle Outfitter’s children’s clothing store, 77kids, is recalling pants and shorts for toddler girls because they pose a choking hazard.<\/p>\n

A metal clasp on the waistband could separate from the clothing, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Approximately 1,200 pairs of shorts and jeans are affected by the recall.<\/p>\n

“This recall involves toddler girl pants, jeans and shorts sold in various styles. The style number is printed on a sewn-in label located under the care\/content label on the inside of the waistband. The garments were sold in sizes 12-18 months through 5 years,” according to the CPSC<\/a> .<\/p>\n

The following style numbers are affected by the recall:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Garment: Boyfriend Vintage Wash<\/p>\n

\u2022 Garment: Flare Vintage Blue Wash<\/p>\n

Style Number: 3029<\/p>\n

\u2022 Garment: Flare LT Wash<\/p>\n

Style Number: 3030<\/p>\n

\u2022 Garment: Flare Rip and Repair<\/p>\n

Style Number: 3034<\/p>\n

\u2022 Garment: Roll Cuff Bermuda Short<\/p>\n

The pants were sold at 77kids by American Eagle stores nationwide and online at www.77kids.com from July through August 2010 for $24 to $34.<\/p>\n
